Breathe Paintings

ACRYLIC AND AIR SERIES

A series of seven acrylic paintings that explore tensions between colors as well as tensions between material and method. These paintings are made from repeatedly blowing into wet paint creating caverns in the paint revealing the color below. This method explores the exhaustion of breathe as well as its intimacy by documenting it strength and tempting the viewer to come in closer.
